A couple of weeks ago, the Outpave team split duties between two key events. While our engineers attended Stripe Sessions in San Francisco, our Sales and Marketing team hosted a booth at the Dallas Build Expo — a first for us. And we didn't just show up; we stood out.
Our booth was crafted to feel more like a hangout than a display — a place staffed by engaging team members who connected with attendees instead of staring down at their phones. We shunned the typical bright white tables and soft purple lights of fintech in favor of wood paneling, tool boxes, bold messages, and friendly faces. Outpave is for the trades, for builders who can't afford to waste time on paperwork or slow, painstaking finance.
Outpave's appeal at the expo was clear: the simplification of daily operations. Prospects were intrigued by our platform’s integration capabilities, which are critical for reducing administrative overhead and freeing up workers to focus on their primary tasks without the hassle of complex expense reports.
Feedback from the expo has been invaluable, shaping our vision for expanding Outpave's capabilities. Soon, we'll introduce invoice generation and payment processing, alongside a traditional credit card program with rewards. These enhancements are designed to significantly grow our user base and market appeal — more on that later!
Our commitment to building this company around a community of like-minded customers extends beyond our products and our website. We've joined the National Home Builders Association and several local affiliates, aiming to deepen these relationships. By increasing our presence at industryevents like the Build Expo, we plan to enhance our name recognition and achieve the network effect many startups aspire to but seldom reach. Trust is everything in this sector, and we will earn it by meeting our customers where they are and listening to their needs.
The Build Expo has validated that there are customers outside Silicon Valley who need the solutions we are bringing to market. It reaffirmed our commitment to our mission, and events like these will continue to shape our understanding and knowledge of the industries we serve. We are excited about the future and the opportunity to bring technology and automation to our customers. They deserve it; they are some of the hardest-working peopleI’ve had the pleasure to know. Stay tuned! Big things are ahead!
Let’s go!
